An Enchanted Afternoon of Italian Paintings, Sculpture, and Fashion

One of my favorite places in the entire world is the Borghese Gallery, a museum in Rome. When I was there in November, they had something I had never seen before; an exhibit of exquisite couture Azzedine Alaia pieces throughout the museum. Tucked in between the priceless paintings and the moving sculptures were these exquisite pieces of fashion as art. I had never seen anything like it. It was the most magical few hours wandering through the galleries and trying to take everything in.

I thought I would share it with you through a photo gallery of all the pictures I took while I was wandering.

Clothing covers your body, this is art. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

*Azzedine Alaia is a designer who has dressed everyone from socialites like the Rothschilds to celebrities like Greta Garbo, Raquel Welch, Madonna, Shakira, and more. He is a designer who is about the fashion, not the press. He is about the art, not the clothing. He doesn’t show during Fashion Weeks; he shows when he feels he has something to show. He is a creative legend.
