Question
Lisa, are you still a designer behind the G.I.L.I line? ~Ruth
Lisa Says
Hi Ruth, although I created the line and all the pieces introduced in the first 3 years were my designs, my influence on it ended when I left QVC. It was a project that I loved dearly and learned a great deal from although I never had a financial stake in the line. It has always been completely owned by QVC.
It was one of the greatest joys and challenges I have ever taken on and I loved every minute of it.
Question
Hello Lisa, question for you. You posted a pic of oven baked chicken wings coated in baking powder???? Never heard that one before. I always cook my wings in the NU WAVE OVEN. But how much baking powder do you use and dosen’t that leave a strange taste on the wings???? Thanks for your help. ~ Carol
Lisa Says
Hi Carol, I was nervous about it changing the taste too, but it didn’t! I tossed the wings in 2T Baking Powder, (not baking soda), and 3/4t salt. In the oven on the bottom rack for 30 minutes at 250, then on the top rack at 425 for at least an hour. Coated them with spicy sauce and voile’!
Question
Lisa, I need your expertise I ordered the c neck skinny tees. Can I wear them even though my shirt is not v neck just like a tank or should I send them back and get the regular ones?
Thanks! ~Helene
Lisa Says
Hi Helene,
There are a lot of variables that would affect that answer, but in general I think wearing a v-neck as a layering piece under something that isn’t v-neck would depend on whether or not the neckline shows above the neckline of the other shirt, or if you can see the line of the neckline through what you are wearing.
V-necks are more forgiving if you are using it as a layering piece with a jacket, but more challenging if you are wearing it under another shirt.
